Built by a hobbyist, for hobbyists
About CadreForge
CadreForge is a hobby management app for tabletop miniature collectors, painters, and gamers who want a better way to organise their armies, paint collection, painting recipes, and project progress.
It is built for the part of the hobby that usually ends up scattered across notebooks, spreadsheets, screenshots, phone photos, and half-remembered paint recipes.
What it helps with
One place for the whole hobby project
Armories
Create armories for your different armies, factions, and game systems.
Progress
Track the build and painting progress of your units and models.
Paint Rack
Manage your paint collection and keep track of the paints you own.
Recipes
Save custom paint recipes so you can recreate schemes later.
References
Record useful notes, colours, photos, and progress across your collection.
Flexible Systems
Support multiple tabletop games instead of being locked to one system.
Why I made it
Because hobby records deserve better than scattered notes
I made CadreForge because I kept running into the same problem in my own hobby: I had armies in one place, paint lists in another, recipes saved in screenshots, progress notes in my head, and no easy way to see the state of my collection.
I wanted one place where I could manage the full journey of an army, from adding units, tracking what is built or painted, recording which paints I used, and saving recipes so I could come back months later and actually recreate the same scheme.
A lot of hobby tools focus on one part of the process. CadreForge is my attempt to bring the collection, painting, recipe, and progress sides together into one useful command centre for the hobby.
About me
Joshua Morgan
I am a UK-based software developer and tabletop hobbyist. CadreForge started as a personal project to solve my own hobby organisation problems, but it has grown into something I hope other painters and collectors will find useful too.
I build and paint miniatures myself, so the app is being shaped around real hobby habits rather than generic collection tracking.
Built in the open with feedback
Still early, still improving
CadreForge is still early, and I am building it around feedback from actual users. The aim is not to make a perfect app overnight, but to keep improving it into something genuinely useful for people who enjoy collecting, painting, and managing tabletop armies.
During the beta period, there may be bugs, missing data, layout changes, and occasional resets while the app is being tested. The goal is to build CadreForge with real hobby feedback rather than waiting until everything is perfect.
Unofficial Project
CadreForge is an unofficial hobby tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any tabletop game publisher, miniature manufacturer, or paint brand. All trademarks and product names belong to their respective owners.
